Why Now?
There is only ever NOW.
Humanity stands at a pivotal moment in history. We’ve built a world more connected than ever before—instant communication, limitless information, and digital networks that span the globe. And yet, we are more divided, anxious, and uncertain than ever.
We are living in a time of extraordinary change—a tipping point where humanity’s threads are weaving something vast, something fragile. Technology has spun a web across the globe: we communicate in an instant, access endless streams of information, and see faces from every corner glow on our screens. It’s a marvel, a connection once unimaginable. But pause here—how does it feel in the quiet? Are we closer to ourselves with all this wiring, or drifting further apart? How connected are we to nature, the earth beneath our feet? How near—or far—do we stand from divinity, that subtle pulse beneath it all?
This is our crossroads. Despite the wonders of progress many feel more disconnected than ever. Anxiety touches 40% of us, depression trails millions, and a sense of meaninglessness rises like a tide (WHO, 2020s; The Lancet Psychiatry, 2023). Our bodies bear it too—2.3 billion wrestle obesity, stress gnaws at hearts, screens bend spines and dim eyes (Journal of Public Health, 2020s). Geopolitics paints a jagged edge: 2025 simmers with tension—wars grind one, superpowers flex, climate talks falter as floods and fires rage . Power pulls tight—nations hoard, borders harden, nuclear threats linger.
We face existential currents—war, environmental collapse, technology’s wild sprint. Paradise feels like a mirage for most—clean water is polluted, food teeters between hunger and waste, peace slips through headlines. Yet the quote “stars shine brightest in the dark” rings true, many people have ignited courage and shine their light brighter than ever in these challenging times.
The world in 2025 is a paradox:
- Technology has made us more connected—but are we more present?
- We have access to more knowledge than ever—but do we have wisdom?
- We are more advanced in science and medicine—but are we thriving?
At the same time, existential risks loom larger than ever:
- Wars continue to rage, superpowers compete, and global tension grows.
- Artificial intelligence is reshaping society, raising questions about control and consciousness.
- Climate disasters are increasing—fires, floods, and droughts.
- Mental health is at crisis levels—anxiety, depression, and loneliness are at all-time highs.
We can see where following the old blueprint leads. If we don't look at where we are going now and set our direction, when will we?
